I joined the Bangkit program during its second period, which started in 2021, as a cloud computing trainee. Amazing opportunities were the first thing that came to mind when I decided to join Bangkit. Now, it's been two years since I graduated from Bangkit. I was aware of extra chances because I am a part of the Bangkit alumni network, such as getting information about job fairs from a Bangkit partner company.

My first job was as a site reliability engineer (SRE) after I graduated from university. It's one of my dream job to become a SRE. Before I got that job, I had failed the final test at Unicorn Company. That was sad, I couldn't secure my job at my current level, but I never gave up. It would be my lesson, and I would prepare for the next one.

Here are some tips I picked up while preparing for your interview:

  1. Be prepared, dress comfortably, turn on your camera, and smile :)
  2. Be honest about your achievements and skills.
  3. Double-check your interview topic.

Sometimes HR does not specify what type of interview it is. Ask them politely to make sure it's a coding interview or only a presentation about a project that you have done, or anything.

  1. Pray

I believe that hard work is part of success, but praying will help you succeed more.
